Tour Overview

For Asia enthusiasts the north-eastern hill states of India have always remained a unexplored mystery, Adjoining the western reaches of that spur of Malayan rainforest which extends right up into Burma, the hills of Arunachal Pradesh support a unique blend of Himalayan, Sino-Tibetan and Indo-Burmese species. Rivers from these hills feed the mighty Brahmaputra, and the swampy grasslands through which they meander in the state of Assam harbour the last strongholds in India of One-horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephants ,Water Buffalo, Greater Adjutant Stork and Spot- billed Pelican. The opening of Assam, and finally in 1996 of Arunachal Pradesh to foreigners , means that you too now can explore the wild wonders of this rather unexplored and one of the most remote parts of India, house to three of India’s most exciting national parks: Manas , Namdapha and Kaziranga.
